Terms and Conditions of Hire – Bouncy Castles

Bookings must be paid for in cash or by cheque prior to set up. Alternatively a cleared bank deposit is acceptable prior to the event.

As well as your enjoyment, safety is the key concern of Castle King so therefore we reserve the right to cancel any booking that in our opinion compromises safety. This includes cancellations when we arrive at the venue, related to adverse weather and proposed set up area being inadequate.

Set Up

There should be at least 2m of free space around and above the castle clear of trees, sharp objects, buildings and power lines. We need a flat area that is easily accessible. Power must be available within 25 metres. Indoor hires can be catered to for example church and school halls – indoor hires are recommended for winter months.

Cancellations

All cancellations that are not weather related must be made no less than 5 days prior to the event.

Bookings can be cancelled on the day due to adverse weather. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if we deem the weather forecast unsuitable for the hire. As we often have multiple bookings in one weekend, on a very rare occasion we may have to cancel a booking (or exchange a castle for a similar one) if due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot provide the castle booked due to damage from a previous hire. We will always endeavour to provide a replacement castle if this happens.

In the event of any cancellation any deposit may be transferred to a future booking or will be refunded. In the event of bad weather affecting your booking after set up, the full rental will still apply.

If it rains during your booking, please have all children vacate the Inflatable and turn off the blower immediately. The blower unit must be placed under cover with the extension cord and RCD unit. It is also appreciated to have the Inflatable put under cover if at all possible.

Responsibility of the Hirer

  1. Please ensure there is at least 2 meters of clear space around and above the Inflatable that is completely clear. Do not set up near power lines or sharp fences or structures.
  2. We will advise the maximum number of children at any one time on the castle but on average its 5-7 players. It is the responsibility of the Hirer to ensure the Inflatable is not overcrowded and safe for all children. NO adult should use any equipment that is supplied solely for children’s use. These units are intended for use by persons between 2 and 8 years old. Please ensure no person over this age uses the equipment.
  3. No smoking or barbeques near the Inflatable.
  4. No shoes, food, drink, face paint, silly string, party poppers, sharp objects/clothing (i.e studded belts), glasses, badges, toys, pets, sweets or chewing gum allowed on the Inflatable. Children should not be pushing, colliding, fighting, attempting somersaults, wrestling, running or behaving in a manner likely to cause injury, damage or distress to others or the equipment.
  5. A responsible adult of 18 years and over MUST supervise the Inflatable and its players at ALL times. No person under the influence of drink or drugs should supervise or operate the equipment.
  6. Do not use a hose on or near the Inflatable. Please do not use the Inflatable if it is wet.
  7. Please ensure no players are on the Inflatable during set up and deflation as this may damage the equipment.
  8. Players must NOT be allowed to climb the Inflatable walls. Please ensure children keep away from the blower and power source.
  9. If the Inflatable is not being used at any part of the day, please turn the Blower off.
  10. Please do not drag the Inflatable across rough surfaces.
  11. In the event that the blower stops working, please vacate the Inflatable immediately. Try resetting the on off button on the blower. Also check there is nothing obstructing the blower. Please also check fuses or that the Inflatable has not come undone from the blower. If the Blower overheats or loses power, wait 2 minutes before switching back on. Any problems feel free to call us straight away.
  12. The Inflatable must be left in clean condition after use. Failure to do so may result in a cleaning fee of $30.

You will be given a copy of this on the day in which we require a signature before we can leave the castle.

I, as the hirer agree that Castle King accepts no responsibility for any injury caused to anyone during the hire of the equipment. The persons using the Inflatable do so at their own risk.

I, the hirer am liable for any damage or injury caused due to reckless use, not adhering to conditions of this agreement and misuse. I am fully responsible for the inflatable and equipment and will pay for any loss or damage that may occur. I agree to return the inflatable in a clean and acceptable condition to Castle King.

I have read and fully understand the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement to which I agree to adhere to.

Terms and Conditions – Sumo Suits

As well as your enjoyment, safety is the key concern of Castle King so therefore we reserve the right to cancel any booking that in our opinion compromises safety. This includes cancellations when we arrive at the venue, related to adverse weather and proposed set up area being inadequate. It is the responsibility of the person/s hiring equipment to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to avoid injury or cause damage to the equipment. Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed.

Responsibility of the Hirer:

  1. A responsible adult must be supervising the Children’s Sumo Suits at ALL times. No person under the influence of drink or drugs should supervise or operate the equipment.
  2. Ensure that no person with a history of Heart, Neck or Back Problems, High Blood Pressure, Joint or Bone weakness or any person with a history of known medical disabilities are allowed to use the equipment. Also any person who feels unwell should be removed immediately.
  3. ALL shoes, glasses, jewellery and badges MUST be removed before using the equipment.
  4. NO face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers, silly string, food, drink, sweets, chewing gum, pets, toys, barbeques, smoking, shoes or sharp objects are to be allowed on or near the equipment.
  5. Ensure a safety zone of 6 feet (2 metres) around the equipment is kept clear at all times and use anchors provided.
  6. In the event that the blower for the Sumo ring stops working, ensure ALL users exit the inflatable immediately. Make sure the blower tube has not come loose and that nothing is obstructing the blower. Failing all this, please contact us for possible further assistance.
  7. Any damage to equipment caused by misuse, neglect, loss or failure to follow these conditions, shall deem the Hirer liable for full repair or replacement costs in addition to any loss of business as a result of such loss or damage as per hire contract.
  8. The Sumo Suits must only be used on the mats supplied and protective equipment should be worn AT ALL TIMES.
